Purpose

We are building our annual festival on the same day of the Bix 7 race every year. The International Quint Cities Festival is a modern hybrid festival model. Our design is “everywhere at once” in the Quad Cities. Rather than plan 100,000 people at a single location like the Mississippi Fair Grounds, we are planning events at all our local music venues on the same day of the Bix 7 race. Rock and roll here, country there, etc. Our annual festival will help build our Quint Cities region as a cool, diverse, inclusive region in which you can live, be employed and enjoy the arts, culture & heritage that makes our region unique. The IQCF will help make the Quint Cities a tourist destination, fill all the hotel rooms and draw revenue from other regions and nations here. The Quad City mayors, city councils, Chamber of Commerce want our region developing events that draw business revenue from other regions and nations and the International Quint Cities Festival is just such event. The IQCF volunteers will help our marginalized, vulnerable and economically disadvantaged populations obtain access of arts culture, music & heritage. Further, we will organize a food drive each year at the festival that will help our local and regional food pantry systems.

Partnership & Collaboration

We will develop partnerships with all our nonprofit groups, city employees, foundations and other groups who are marketing our region as an regional, national and international destination.

Inaugural IQCF 2022 Food Drive

The International Quint Cities Festival volunteers organized our inaugural food drive and collected 327 items.  The Circle Pantry, a nonprofit organization, at 1008 W. 6th Street in Davenport, IA received the bounty of the inaugural IQCF 2022 food drive.

"On behalf of the women, men and families we serve at the Central Community Circle Food Pantry please accept our sincere appreciation for your generous gift of canned goods.  This gift will be used for the support of the food pantry to help ensure that the members of our community in need will have a place they can count on for basic foods and bread."
